Our team of electrical service engineers provide a full range of maintenance to our stations, as well as playing a crucial role in the expansion of the network and the continuation of our reputation as best in industry.

InstaVolt are looking to bring on a new Service Engineer, with a great work ethic and the ability to work under their own initiative, to cover East Anglia, London and the South east. There is potential UK wide travel involved as we continue to expand our network across the country.

Role Overview
The selected candidate will have to perform four key duties in their role. These are site surveys, proactive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and electrical installation work.
• Site Surveys: In order to maintain the growth of the business there is a requirement to complete surveys of potential charging locations. This will include drawings and photographs of the sites, measurements from site, communication with in-house planning team, uploading photographs and great communication.
• Proactive Maintenance: By keeping the stations maintained and clean this ensures InstaVolt reputation remains the best and the reliability remains market leading.
• Reactive Maintenance: This will be a crucial part in the candidate’s role, as InstaVolt strive to keep our network online 24/7. Its critical to the business that downtime is kept to the minimum and the response to these incidences is paramount to ensure the availability is at its very best.
• Electrical Installation work; There is a requirement for our engineers to install the electrical infrastructure related to the charging stations. This will include the installation of SY/SWA cables, panel board installation, earthing, bonding and electrical testing.

A successful candidate will have the ability to communicate with multiple members of staff, from reporting to their manager, members of the network performance team, project managers and members of the design team regarding the site surveys. There is also a requirement to effectively communicate with our engineering back office team, warehouse and installation team to diagnose and rectify any faults that have occurred.

We would be looking for the below in the successful candidate.
• Ability to comprehend and adhere to health and safety regulations and standards.
• Single-handedly and efficiently perform electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repair along with electrical installation work.
• Be suitability qualified in electrical installation work and conversant in BS7671.
• A flexible attitude and the ability to quickly adapt to changes and learn new skills and techniques.
• Provide prompt and co-operative response to reactive fault issues.
• Installation of fresh electrical and electronic components and fittings
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services.
• Supervise electrical works when new projects are undertaken.
• Keep record of all stock and supplies, including deliveries to addresses etc.
• Have a basic knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, OneDrive and Excel
• Good communication and customer facing skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of people during your working day.
• Work with their own initiative and willingly adapt to a changing programme of works as required.
Due to the locations of InstaVolt stations there may be a requirement for the successful candidate to stay away from home for short periods of time, either during their day-to-day activities or, if required, covering for annual leave etc of other engineers. InstaVolt will supply a hotel card for use when this is required.

Job Title: Customer Services Administrator
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: Between £22,000.00 – £25,000.00 depending on experience

Winners of multiple industry and driver awards we are the market leader in EV infrastructure and due to rapid expansion of the charging network and internal job progression, we are now hiring a skilled and dedicated Customer Services Administrator.

Role Overview
The role will be based at our Basingstoke Head office and will suit a dedicated individual who is looking to develop their career within this expanding and fast paced industry. The sector is one of the fastest growing in the country and this is a great opportunity to join one of the market leaders. The role is primarily based around the support of the Network Performance and App Support teams, responding and dealing with customer and driver queries and working within the team responsible for the reliability of Britain’s favourite multi vehicle charging network.

The role will include, but not limited to, the below;
• Monitoring and administration of daily support tickets gathered from various sources, including our dedicated support call centre, App support, generic inboxes etc.
• Distribution of customer queries to the relevant teams
• Responding to queries and tickets, verbally and written, directly back to customers whilst maintaining the high levels of customer service that InstaVolt prides itself on.
• General administration duties to ensure smooth running of support team.
• Monitoring of social media, inboxes, customer queries etc to ensure the reputation of the company continues to be of a very high level.
It would be preferable if the candidate had the below skills.
• The ability to deal and communicate with a varied team including App support, driver support.
• Will need to possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to quickly adapt to changes and learn new skills and techniques.
• Provide prompt response to inquiries whenever required, and the ability to distribute and respond to these in a timely manner.
• Be able to work under their own initiative, with great organisational skills.
• Have a good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Onedrive and the willingness to learn additional programs.
• Excellent communication and customer facing skills and be able to communicate with a variety of people during your working day.
• Clean driving licence as there may be a requirement for travel in association with business needs.

 

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate with multiple members of staff, from reporting to their manager, members of the network performance team, project managers, members of the installation team and the team of service engineers. There will also be a requirement to communicate with the general public on occasions via verbal or written communication.

This role would suit somebody who is dedicated to their role and looking to progress their career, who has great communication skills and the desire to see a job through to its mutual conclusion for all involved parties. CAD Technician

Job Title: CAD Technician
Location: InstaVolt Ltd, Chineham Business Park, Basingstoke
Base: Office based

The selected candidate will be expected to have basic knowledge of AutoCAD. They will be required to complete 2D site designs taking into account a variety of situational factors. The company is fast paced so the ability to work quickly and efficiently is important. At any one time the successful candidate will be expected to work on multiple sites at different stages of development which means the ability to prioritise and work under pressure is crucial. 

Whilst work on AutoCAD will be a key part of the role, they will also be expected to expand their knowledge and learn about the planning process and understand grid offers to be able to further the development of a site. 

 It would be preferable if the candidate had the below skills. 

  • Knowledge of and ability to use AutoCAD software is essential. 
  • The desire to learn more about project development and get involved in the Planning and Grid process. 
  • Great time management and communication skills. 
  • To be able to work under pressure and within a fast moving, dynamic industry. 
  • Prioritise workload depending on a variety of factors. 
  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint and OneDrive and the ability to pick up knowledge on different systems. 
  • Great administration skills to allow for tracking of site progress and information sharing. 

 The role would suit somebody who is looking to start a career within the EV industry within one of the leading providers of EV charging. The role will see the applicant helping to develop new EV charging projects from the ground up and applying their own design to these sites.

InstaVolt are recruiting for an Administrator to assist the Pre-Construction team. The company is extremely fast paced so the ability to work quickly and efficiently is important whilst all work remaining accurate and organised. At any one time the successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple pieces of work to assist the team, therefore the ability to prioritise and work under pressure is crucial.

It would be preferable if the candidate had the below skills:

Project Manager

InstaVolt has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our busy and energetic team. The role will be based out of our Head Office in Basingstoke, with some UK-wide travel required.

As an InstaVolt Project Manager you will oversee the end-end delivery of our new Rapid Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging sites, including construction, installation, grid connection and activation. You will provide management, leadership and coordination of InstaVolt teams, contractors, suppliers and grid connection providers.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager at Instavolt your key focus will be to deliver operational and safety excellence throughout the lifecycle of your projects:

  • Liaise with our Pre-Construction and Legal teams during design stages.
  • Managing tendering processes for contractor appointment.
  • Liaising with our grid connection providers to ensure the timely completion of our connection.
  • Planning and coordinating all resources required in the construction and activation of our new Charging sites, including the completion of Health & Safety Construction Phase Plans.
  • Liaising with clients and customers, keeping them informed on installation planning and onsite progress

Key Personal Skills/Knowledge:

  • Ability to work in a high pace environment and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Dynamic and motivated individual
  • Highly organised
  • Strong project administrative skills, including MS Office
